Catechism

Catechism is a structured teaching on the core truths of the Christian faith through questions and answers in such a way to inform belief, worship, and life.

Please join us for "Faith Steps" every Wednesday at 6 PM! Using the scriptures, we will dig into core questions we have on the faith and how that practically impacts our convictions, character, and lives.

Creation

Ever wonder why God created the world and mankind? Many people do! The Bible tells us that God made all things for His glory and so that all of creation can worship Him alone.

God's promise of salvation

God has a plan to deal with sin - in Genesis 3, He outlined a plan whereby He would send a Hero who will save all those who believe in Him and free them from the curse of death. Praise God for His faithfulness!

Jesus' sacrifice for our salvation

Why did Jesus need to be both God and man? If He is God, why couldn't He just declare sin forgiven and not require Jesus' death? The Bible has the answers! Join us to discover this truth.

The establishment of the new heavens and earth

When will Jesus come back? What will the new creation look like? Look in God's word to discover these important truths!

Fall

Do you know why God forbade Adam and Eve to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Catechism helps us answer this; God did this to warn us of the consequences of our rebellion in a world where our natural desires lead us into sin and away from Him.

The fruit of sin and God's preservation of His people

After the fall, we see that it did not take long to see how sin controls us. The story of Cain and Abel demonstrates the fruit, or consequences, of our sin. And yet, God will preserve His people because of His great love.

The unifying of all things under Christ as King

When Christ rose, He brought unity of all things and presently reigns. Yet, we see sin prevail in this world. How is the kingdom of heaven at hand, yet still to come then?
